New Sherlock Season
So the new Sherlock season is here... and I realize I haven't been building up my emotional resistance whatsoever... so I have to start doing that now. I have until it comes out on Netflix or until it shows on PBS so I'm all good.
How is it that Sherlock is supposed to be the one devoid of emotion but most of the emotion gifs are of him?

"The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug" Rant
Today I ent to go see this movie with my family and it gave me mixed feelings. Like how it looked like it matched with the other LotR movies but that could be good (because it all matches together) or it could be bad because it means it has the effects of 11+ years ago. Seriously though, how is it that the actors all look the same? Even when the actors were switched, they did a good job of making the new ones look like the originals.
For instance, Ian looks the same as he did and so does Orlando Bloom.
Good job!!!
Also, I don't think Martin Freeman could've been casted better.
He just looks like I imagine Bilbo to be. He is an AMAZING actor.
Okay so I also noticed a ton of problems. Like what's up with Gandalf's sparkle scarf???
He just shows up wearing it and it's long and sparkly. He doesn't wear it in the mountains though. Only when he looking for the necromancer with Radagast. It doesn't make sense and I couldn't stop laughing. Also, the cg was kinda bad. I was looking at certain parts and thinking "A lot of video games have better textures than this." Also, there was this one part where they were all fighting Smaug and they used molten gold which ran as rivers through the rooms. It stayed super hot for super long and Throin used a wheelbarrow as a surf board on it. I know suspension of belief and all that but seriously? I can deal with the that hot for that long thing but that wheel barrow should be melted as well as Thorin. I kind of fell asleep for that part so luckily it's kind of blocked from my mind. The part with Biblo and Smaug was REALLY cool though. All of the negotiation and the acting and Benedict Cumberbatch was really awesome. The cg was pretty good, too.
One part that really got me though: The scripting near the end. It was so terrible. The end was just fairly bad. So to start off the whole gold scene they run into the smelting/ furnace/ whatever room and think "oh let's start the furnaces" but then one of the dwarves shouts "We don't have a hot enough fire to light the furnaces" and all the dwarves kind of turn to look at Thorin for advice. Then, Smaug roars right behind them and Thorin goes "or do we?" Multiple problems with this. 1: If you need fire, of course there's a dragon 2. Smaug was just chasing them; how could there forget about that GIGANTIC dragon who stole their homeland from them and was chasing them so quickly and 3. it was obvious and bad writing.
The movie as a whole I'm going to deem fairly good but there were points in the movie that ruined it when you remembered "oh yeah, this is a movie and totally not real." The elves were good and all of the main points were fairly good but I'd say about 2/3rds of the movie was fight scenes. I understand that they're padding the movie, but if you're going to pad it, pad it with something GOOD. They have the whole part w/ Mirkwood where they could have done so much more with that (the wood elf party and everything) but instead, they just had the spiders attack.
So the costuming, sets, acting, and look of it was amazing They need to work more on their cg and their writing. This movie was definitely worse than the first but I'm stil hoping they can bring it back in the third.
I hope they remake this one. It would be so much better if they just redid this one and redid all the writing and everything in it. You don't have to redo the costuming, the acting, the sets or anything, just get a new script. PLEASE. This movie is killing the Hobbit series. I would say "oh we'll just do a remake in a few years" but I would use the same sets costuming and actors. I would only change the writing. I can't stress it enough. It just kind of ruined it for me and continuously bugged me through out the entire movie.
Also, pad it with something we haven't seen before. For instance, they had an elf healing scene again. Just like they did with Arwin and Frodo. I want something new.
Another also, can someone explain to me why some people talk in American accents? The accents were kind of all over the place, even within the same races.
Other than all of that, good film. It was definitely better if you've watched Sherlock and you knew that John/ Bilbo and Sherlock/Smaug were the same characters. That made it more fun for the fanbase.

Jawn Logic
So I feel like John Watson because I gave myself a shot a while ago in my leg and since then it's become sore and I've started limping because of it. Now I know what John feels like!! Or what he thinks he feels like.... And I told my friend (who I call Sherly) about it and she thought that I gave myself the shot in the arm and that I started limping... Make sense...
Sadly, though, I am not a master of John Logic. My shoulder did not start hurting.

Hounds of Baskerville
So this is the one episode of Sherlock I really can't quote all the way through. Well, that and Reichenbach. I have only watched that one a few times. That's as much as I can handle it. Anyways, it's one of my favorite episodes and I have no idea how I could not have watched it a million time. All of the gay stuff as well as he brilliant acting and the science it's just... It's really good in this one. BRILLIANT!!!

Harry Potter Sherlock Crossover
So I found a ton of Sherlock Harry Potter crossovers....
I love that John's a Gryffindor and Sherly's a Slytherin.
But I think this works better, with Sherly being a Ravenclaw and John a Hufflepuff.
They have the Marauder's Map!!!!
Why is John playing Quidditch????? At least he got the snitch.
I still want to know why people make Sherlock a Slytherin. I mean, sure, they're cunning, but he's more of a Ravenclaw.
This one speaks for itself.
Seriously. Slytherin? Again?
Here we go. I think this is an accurate description.
Aw look they're so cute!!!!
Definitely an accurate description.
This is amazing.
And this is amazing.
They're all amazing!!!!!!!
This is my new favorite crossover.

Sherlockians Unite
So I just wanted to share some of my favorite Sherlock mvs. I wish some of them were longer, but eh. What am I going to do? I don't have the technology for it.
Sail- Moriarty and Sherlock I really like this video because it has so many cool effects that go right along with the music and it's just kind of really awesome. Also, the clips actually match what's going on in the song and it really describes them both perfectly. There's a lot of hard work and skill that went into the making of this idea and it's a really cool thing. I wish it was longer but that's it.
For Your Entertainment- Jim Moriarty So I really like this one for many of the same reasons that I liked the last one. The song just goes with it so perfectly that it's a bit of a shock when you actually listen to the lyrics. Again, this is one of the ones hat I couldn't make and that just blows me away with the skill. I really like the rapid succession of the clips and respect the tedious timing with the clips. I also really enjoyed all of the little humorous bits thrown in there as well.
Don't Mess w/ Me- Moriarty This isn't the video that I wanted to put up (I couldn't find the video that I actually really did like) but this one is good enough. Again, I wish it was longer but whatev. So I put this one up anyways because I really like the song and I think that it goes perfectly with the character. I liked the little quotes put in here. They were put in at really good times but the transition out of them could've been a little better.
That Creepy Guy At Work- Sherlock This one isn't really a mv but it made me laugh all the same. Good clips were used at really good times and that's really all I have to say about it. It was hilarious!!!!

In light of it being 6am
So one of my teachers always walks in class like

And I'm waiting for the day she replies
(Sorry those were all of them that I could find. I know the quote doesn't really go like that but those were the only gifs I could find of it.)
